Drake University women's golf team opens its spring campaign at the FGCU Eagle Invitational on Friday (Feb. 13) through Sunday (Feb. 15).
The 54-hole event hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University at the Stoneybrook Golf Club in Estero, Fla. will tee off at 8 a.m. EST each day with a reverse shotgun start.
The 14-team field includes: Akron, Arkansas State, Daytona State, Drake, Elon, FAU, FGCU, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Southern Illinois, Toledo, USC Upstate, Utah Valley and Xavier. The Bulldogs will be paired up with Utah Valley and Northern Kentucky on the first day.

Freshman Madison Glennie (Clearwater, Fla.) equaled a school record firing a final-round 69 to lead the Drake women's golf team on the final day of the Pat Bradley Invitational hosted by Florida International on Tuesday (Nov. 4).
Collectively, the Bulldogs posted a 318 round over the final 18 holes to conclude the tournament with a cumulative scorecard of 958 (323-317-318).
Glennie's performance enabled her to wrap up her tournament tied for 15th place with a 225 (80-76-69) total, while firing her second round of 69 during the fall campaign.
Sophomore Sarah Browning (Midhurst, Ontario) recorded a final-round 80 to post a 54-hole score of 237 (80-77-80), good for a tie for 45th place.
Rounding out Drake's efforts were senior Danielle Brooks (Red Wing, Minn.), junior Katie Clausen (Hinton, Iowa) and freshman Brooke Miller (Pomona, Calif.) with tournament totals of 246 (81-84-81), 253 (82-82-89) and 268 (98-82-89), respectively.
The Bulldogs open their spring campaign traveling to Estero, Fla., for the Eagle Invitational (Feb. 13-15, 2015) hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University.
DRAKE RESULTS: Madison Glennie (80-76-69=225/T-15th), Sarah Browning (80-77-80=237/T-45th), Danielle Brooks (81-84-81=246/58th), Katie Clausen (82-82-89=253/64th) and Brooke Miller (98-82-88=268/70th).
BULLDOG NOTES
• Madison Glennie has carded 69 twice this season, matching Olivia Lansing for the lowest one-round score in program history. Lansing set the mark during the second round of the 2009 MVC Championship. Glennie tied the record in the second-round of the Coyote Classic on Sept. 30.
• Drake has recorded 29 rounds of 79 or lower this season. Madison Glennie owns 12 of the 29 rounds, while Danielle Brooks, Sarah Browning, Arianna Gastelum, Katie Clausen and Brooke Miller have posted six, four, three, two and two rounds, respectively.
• Three Bulldogs carded career-low rounds for Drake in the fall. Glennie equaled a career- and program-best score of 69 during the second round of the Coyote Classic (Sept. 30) and then again on the final day of the Pat Bradley Invitational (Nov. 4), while Sarah Browning fired a career-low 72 during the opening round of the Jackrabbit Fall Invitational on Sept. 23. Brooke Miller recorded a career-low score of 78 during the second rounds of the Redbird Invitational and the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial.
• Glennie leads Drake with a 76.3 scoring average in the fall. She is followed by Browning (78.9), Gastellum (79.3), Danielle Brooks (81.3), Miller (84.4) and Katie Clausen (81.3).
• As a team, the Bulldogs carded their best score of the fall (305) during the opening round of the Jackrabbit Fall Invitational (Sept. 22).
