The Basics
The Drake women's golf team will hit the course for its penultimate tournament of the fall season with the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational hosted by the University of Kansas. The Bulldogs will tee it up from Lawrence Country Club in Lawrence, Kansas, and play 54 holes over two days, Oct. 6-7.

About the Course
The Lawrence Country Club golf course was completely renovated and re-opened for play in September 2006. The course was nominated by Golf Digest as one of the top five renovated country club courses in the Midwest Region. All 18 holes were redesigned and sculptured to create a magnificent and challenging course for all levels of play. The course is one of only two country clubs in the state of Kansas with bent grass tee boxes, fairways, and greens and it hosted the Women's Big 12 Golf Championship in 2012. The course will play as a Par 71 and measures in at 6.068 yards.
