The Game
• The Drake University men's basketball team returns home for its final homestand of the season starting with Sunday's game against Missouri State.
• The Bulldogs return to their home court where they are 7-5 this season with four Missouri Valley Conference wins.
• Saturday's game will also serve as the Bulldogs' 'Senior Day' with the program honoring its five seniors - Trevor Berkeley, Chris Caird, Jordan Daniels, Karl Madison and Gary Ricks, Jr. - prior to tipoff.
• Drake is looking for a season split with the Bears after suffering a 62-37 loss in Springfield during the opening week of MVC play in January.
• Missouri State is 10-17 this season and 4-11 in Missouri Valley Conference action after its 60-56 win over Indiana State on Wednesday evening.
• Drake has won four of its last seven games with the losses coming to three of the top four teams in the current MVC standings.
• Freshman Reed Timmer has led the Bulldogs in the last seven games with 99 combined points during that span including a game-high 19 in the Feb. 11 win over Bradley and 14 points with five assists at Indiana State. He has shot 45.7 percent from the field in those seven games and 58.8 percent from the three-point arc.
• Ten of the Bulldogs' 15 MVC games to date have come against teams picked in the top five of the preseason MVC poll.
• Additionally, Drake's 19 total losses have come to teams with a combined 279-147 (.655) record.
• Drake's four active freshmen account for 34.2 percent of the Bulldogs' scoring and 35.2 percent of the team's minutes.
• Drake's primary point guards, Karl Madison and Reed Timmer, have a 55-24 assist-to-turnover ratio in the last 11 games. Madison boasts an 33-to-11 ratio during that span.
• Drake has played seven games this season against teams that have now recorded 20 or more wins.
