DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women's tennis team welcomes St. John's on Friday (Feb. 27) and UW-Milwaukee on Saturday (Feb. 28) to the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs and the Red Storm are set to begin play at noon on Friday, as Drake will take on Milwaukee at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
The Bulldogs are 5-0 at home and are coming off a tough weekend, falling to No. 70 Minnesota and No. 46 Dartmouth, 5-2. Drake hasn't given up a point at home and swept North Dakota and Gustavus Adolphus, 7-0, on Feb. 15.
When St. John's comes to Des Moines it will be its third match in three days as the Red Storm fell to Nebraska, 5-2, on Wednesday (Feb. 25) and will face off with conference foe Creighton on Thursday (Feb. 26).
UW-Milwaukee is 2-6 and has dropped its last three matches. The Panthers' last time out was a 6-1 loss to Western Michigan. UWM's only winning record comes at No. 5 singles with a 6-2 mark. Christian Colarossi is 3-1 at No. 5 and has won her last four matches.
The Bulldogs continue their five-match home stand on Friday Feb. 6 when Iowa State and UMKC come to town.
