ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake University's senior Alen Salibasic (Tuzla, Bosnia & Herzegovina) garnered his fifth Missouri Valley Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week award of the season, announced by the league office on Tuesday. A Bulldog has received the MVC weekly honor nine out of 11 weeks.

Salibasic went 4-0 for the week, helping Drake to wins over Georgia State and UW-Green Bay on March 27. He posted a pair of straight set wins at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Georgia State's Jannis Koeke and a dominating 6-3, 6-2 win over Green Bay's Michael Tenzer. In doubles, Salibasic and Ben Mullis registered two victories a No. 1, winning 6-3 over Georgia State and 6-2 over Green Bay.

Salibasic and his teammates will return to conference play on Friday as they travel to No. 52 Wichita State.
