DES MOINES, Iowa – Senior
Nell Boyd (Arlington, Heights, Ill.) won her 100th career singles match on Sunday to lead the Drake women's tennis team past Evansville 6-1 at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
Boyd is the second player in program history to reach the century mark and is just three singles victories away from becoming the winningest singles player in school history.

Maddie Johnson (Onalaska, Wis.) posted an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles, while junior
Jordan Eggleston (LaQuinta, Calif.) and freshman
Tess Herder (Lee's Summit, Mo.) secured the doubles point for the Bulldogs with an 8-5 win at No. 3.
In singles play, Drake jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead as Johnson rolled past UE's Natasha James 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 and freshman
Adrienne Jensen (Iowa City, Iowa) clobbered Mina Milovic, 6-0, 6-2 at No. 5. Boyd clinched the match for the Bulldogs with a straight set 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4. Freshman
Summer Brills (North Oaks, Minn.) won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3, while
Lea Kozulic (Varazdin, Croatia) improved her winning streak to 16 matches with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 6.
The Bulldogs improve to 19-4 on the season and are 13-0 at home and 5-0 in conference play.
Drake will close out the regular season next weekend when the Bulldogs host Missouri State on Saturday, April 18 at 1 p.m. and No. 32 Wichita State on Sunday at 10 a.m.
