WALNUT, Calif. – Drake University sophomore Reed Fischer (Minnetonka, Minn.) raced to a third-place finish the 10,000 meters on Thursday evening at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Fischer's time of 29:59.09 was a significant personal best and is the fourth-fastest 10,000-meter time in the Missouri Valley Conference this season and the fastest by a Bulldog since 2013. Western Kentucky's Endalow Takele won the event in 29:50.54
Emma Huston (Des Moines, Iowa) takes to the Mt. SAC track Friday evening to race in the women's 5,000 meters. The rest of the team returns to competition on Saturday, April 18 at the Gateway Invitational, hosted by SIU-Edwardsville.
