DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University men's and women's track and field teams faced cool and wet conditions on the Blue Oval as they competed in six events on the final day of the 2015 Drake Relays presented by Hy-Vee.
The Bulldogs' day was highlighted by Kai Asberry (Carrollton, Texas) finishing fifth in the men's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.62, his second-fastest time of the season. Freshman Hudson Priebe (Chamberlain, S.D.) was 10th in a personal best of 52.48.
Asberry also teamed with Pierce Vincent (Fayetteville, Ga.), Steven Jordan (McFarland, Wis.) and George Webb (Morton Grove, Ill.) to take eighth place in the sprint medley relay with a finish of 3:24.69.
Emma Huston (Des Moines, Iowa) competed on her home track in the 1,500 meters and recorded a time of 4:32.88, her second-fastest time of the season, to take 10th place.
Following three days of competition at Drake Stadium, the Bulldogs continue their season on May 1 at Arkansas and Missouri.
