DELAND, Fla. – Senior Conley Wilkins recorded 140 rushing yards to surpass the 1,000-yard mark in the Drake University football team's 45-14 win at Stetson University on Saturday at Spec Martin Stadium.
 
Wilkins' 140 rushing yards gave him 1,080 yards for the season, as he became the fifth Bulldog to accomplish that feat since 1987.
 
"He has given his heart and soul to this program and I am so proud of him for everything he has done for us," said Drake head coach Rick Fox on Conley Wilkins.
 
Grant Kraemer threw a career-high 334 yards with five touchdowns and completed 21-of-33 passes.
 
"Grant Kraemer stepped up huge today and was really comfortable and made some plays," said Fox.
 
Grant Menard was Kraemer's top target as he recorded a game-high seven catches for 95 yards and three touchdowns. Eric Saubert registered a game-high 131 yards receiving with two touchdowns.
 
"I hope we get to watch Eric Saubert on Sundays, because you saw the kind of player he is. He just took over the game offensively," said Fox.

Defensively, Jabari Butler led the team with two interceptions and also tallied six tackles. Sean Lynch and Austin Dismond each recorded eight tackles for a team-best.
 
"I am just so proud our guys and so excited for the guys that played in their final game," Fox said. "It was a battle back-and-forth in the first-half. And the way our offense kept answering and our defense kept fighting it was huge."
 
With the Bulldogs on their own two-yard line, Wilkins broke off a 72-yard run to become the first Bulldog 1,000-yard rusher since 2007. Drake's drive then stalled and Josh Lee nailed a 38-yard to put the Bulldogs up 3-0.
 
Midway through the second-quarter, Stetson got on the board on a 11-yard touchdown run by Cole Mazza, taking a 7-3 lead.
 
The Bulldogs wasted little time to answer and responded with a 73-yard touchdown catch by Saubert.
 
Stetson came right back and put together a four-play 75-yard drive, capped off by a four-yard touchdown catch by Donald Parham.
 
Wilkins' 47-yard run helped set up the Bulldogs retake the lead, 17-14. Kraemer completed a 11-yard touchdown pass to Menard to put Drake back on top.
 
The Hatters managed to make a field goal in the final minute of the half to knot the game up 17-17 at halftime.
 
The second-half was all Drake, as the Bulldogs scored 28-straight points. Drake's defense limited the Hatters to 143 total yards and six first downs and held them scoreless.
 
Kraemer orchestrated three long scoring drives, 80, 97 and 75 to put the Bulldogs up 38-17. The three drives were capped off by a touchdown pass to Saubert and two to Menard.
 
The Bulldogs final score came on an 18-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Clifford to Blake Beauchamp.
 
Drake finishes the 2016 season on the four-game winning streak with a 7-4 overall record and a 6-2 PFL mark, finishing third in the league.
