Tess Herder and
Liza Petushkova each had tough second round matches as they each fell to seeded opponents. Herder dropped straight sets to No. 17 Yufel Long from Iowa, 6-1, 6-2, while Petushkova was setback by No. 14 Martha Matoula from Tulsa, 6-2, 6-1.
Herder and Petushkova then fell in the second round of the doubles draw, losing to No. 6 Douglas and Van Heuvelen from Iowa, 8-2.
In the consolation singles draw,
Joely Lomas and
Summer Brills each earned first round victories but were both knocked out in the second round.
The Bulldogs will close out the fall season next weekend at the Panther Invitational in Miami, Fla.
