SAINT LOUIS, Mo. – The Drake University women's tennis team fell at Saint Louis, 4-1, on Friday afternoon at the St. Clair Tennis Club.
 
The Bulldogs took an early 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point. Alex Kozlowski and Joely Lomas defeated Aspen Cervin and Cassie McKenzie, 7-5 at No. 2 doubles, while Summer Brills and Mela Jaglarz clinched the point with a tiebreaker victory over Mariluz Rojo and Ally McKenzie at No. 3.
 
The Billikins went on to take a 2-1 lead with convincing victories at No. 6 and No. 3 singles.
 
Cassie McKenzie gave the Billikins a 3-1 lead with her 6-2, 7-6 win over Kozlowski at No. 5.
 
Lomas won the first set 6-4 but Allie McKenzie managed to win the final two sets 6-3, 7-5 to clinch the victory for Saint Louis.
 
Tess Herder and Brills went unfinished in their respective matches but were ahead in the third set in each of their matches.
 
The Bulldogs will look to bounce back on Sunday as they host Eastern Illinois at 11 a.m. at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
