Box Score DES MOINES, Iowa – Carmen Palumbo of the Drake University women's tennis team won a pair of matches on the second day of the Drake Invitational at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center on Saturday, Sept. 15.
 
Palumbo won two matches, first over Augustana's Laura Arce Vieyra 5-7, 6-1, 6-4 and then defeated Creighton's Ashley Ishimura 6-2, 7-5 to advance to Sunday's championship match versus Creighton's Sarah Wilcox in Flight A.
 
In doubles action, Palumbo and her teammate, Daria Walczak will play Omaha's Lorentz/Crowell Sunday for third place after they lost to Creighton's Ishimura and Wilcox in a semifinal match.
 
The Bulldogs will close the Drake Invitational on Sunday, starting at 9 a.m.
