MINNEAPOLIS – The Drake University women's tennis team collected a pair of doubles wins Thursday evening on the first day of the Gopher Invitational at the Baseline Tennis Center.
 
Carmen Palumbo/Daria Walczak defeated Iowa State's Savannah Williams/Caroline Gibbens 6-3 while Kelsey Neville/Sophia Haleas defeated South Dakota's Habiba Aly/Luana Stanciu 6-2. Both matches were contested in Flight C.
