Drake University sophomore Adam Fogg has been named the Missouri Valley Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time in less than a month, the league announced Tuesday, Oct. 1.
 
Fogg, a native of Brisbane, Australia, finished second at Missouri's Gans Creek Classic with an 8-kilometer time of 24:57.4 in hot, humid conditions. He finished behind only Mizzou senior Thomas George in the race and was in the top five during the entire race while climbing three spots in the final 3,000 meters.
 
His finish helped lead the Bulldogs to a third-place performance in the team standings behind Missouri and Texas A&M in a field that also included competitors from Texas Tech and MVC rivals Illinois State and SIU.
 
Fogg's honor is the third this season for the Drake men's cross country team as Matt Cozine earned the honor during the first week of the season and Fogg collected his first award Sept. 10.
