Participants will be involved in sports activities (currently including soccer, tennis, golf, rowing, basketball, track and field, volleyball, and cheerleading) to help expand life-long opportunities.

Drake Athletics is excited to host the third annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day Clinic Sunday, Feb. 9 at 12 p.m. inside the Shivers Basketball Practice Facility. The annual clinic will take place prior to the Drake women's basketball game against Missouri State at 2 p.m. in the Knapp Center.

NGWSD recognizes the extraordinary progress sparked by Title IX and the ongoing effort to ensure access to sports for girls and women. Research indicates that girls who play sports have better health, higher self-esteem, stronger leadership skills, and greater academic achievement and economic opportunity.
