EUGENE, Ore. – The Drake University men's tennis team concluded a challenging weekend with a 4-0 loss to Oregon on Sunday afternoon.
 
Drake (1-7) dropped the doubles point to a potent Oregon (6-2) team. Barny Thorold and Oliver Johansson fell to Joshua Charlton and Ty Gentry, the No. 8 doubles team in the nation, 6-2.
 
Thorold then took on Charlton, the No. 14 singles player in the country. Thorold fell, 6-1, 6-2.
 
Johansson took the first set at No. 2 singles, and Jarvis claimed the second set at No. 6. Both matches, however, went unfinished as Drake lost the other three singles matches in two sets each.
 
The Bulldogs return home on Saturday, Feb. 8 after a long stretch on the road. Drake hosts Iowa at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center at 6 p.m.
