The Drake University football team has 12 student-athletes featured on Phil Steele's 2020 Preseason Pioneer Football League Teams. The annual preseason teams were released on Friday, July 24.
 
First-team selections for Drake, include lineman Chris Evans and fullback Grant Gossling on offense, lineman Gavin Dineen and defensive back Will Warner on defense while Ryan Kriceri is on the special teams' first-team at long snapper. Dineen and Warner earned first-team PFL honors in 2019 while Evans landed on the second team and Gossling and Kriceri collected honorable mention honors.
 
The second team features quarterback Ian Corwin and wide receiver Shane Feller on offense and defensive back Collin Seymour on defense. Offensive linemen Jacob Bacon and Zack Clark are on the third team while linebacker Will Kulick and defensive back Alex Rogers are on the third team defense.
 
Bacon, Clark, Corwin, Feller, Rogers and Seymour all garnered honorable mention accolades last season.
