CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Drake University volleyball team swept Northern Iowa, 3-0, Friday night in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Drake (7-4, 2-1 MVC) defeated UNI (6-10, 1-2 MVC) by scores of 25-18, 25-21 and 25-13 for its second-straight win in the McLeod Center.
Mariana Rodriguez and
Haley Bush had 12 and 11 kills, respectively for the Bulldogs. Bush tallied nine digs.
Kylee Macke and
Jada Wills had 12 and 11 digs, respectively, while Wills added three service aces.
Drake hit .333 as a team while holding UNI to .140 hitting. The Bulldogs have now held five of their last six opponents to .140 hitting or below.
The Panthers were led by Emily Holterhaus who had a team-high 11 kills. UNI had seven service errors.
Drake stays on the road as it visits Valparaiso Monday night for a 6 p.m. match. on ESPN+.
