VALPARAISO, IND. -- The Drake University volleyball team fell to Valparaiso in the five sets Monday night in Indiana. Drake (7-5, 2-2 MVC) managed to win the second and fourth sets to send the match into a fifth. Valpo (13-3, 4-1 MVC) scored three points in a row to solidify the win.
Senior
Haley Bush led the Bulldogs in kills with 19 and freshman Ashlyn Kuhn recorded 11. Bush recorded 18 digs and Kuhn tallied eight blocks.
Libero
Kylee Macke tallied 15 digs, as well as defensive specialist
Danielle Pioske.
Kacie Rewerts recorded eight blocks for the Bulldogs. Rewert's eight blocks against Valpo was the fifth time this season she recorded seven or more in a match.
The Beacons were led by Peyton McCarthy who tallied 15 kills and eight blocks.
Drake remains on the road to take on SIU on Friday, Oct. 9. First serve is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
