The Drake University women's volleyball team fell to in state rival UNI, 3-2, Friday evening at the Knapp Center.
After taking a 2-0 lead, the Bulldogs struggled to maintain the lead in the final three sets.
The Bulldogs were paced by junior
Haley Bush, who tallied 19 kills. She added 22 points for Drake.
Mariana Rodrigues added 13 kills and
Emily Plock added 11. The two combined for 28.5 points.
UNI came back from a five-point deficit in the third set to tie the match 23-23. Bush recorded a kill for Drake to take the lead 24-23, but UNI would take the next three points to win the set.
The Panthers were led by Kaylissa Arndorfer, Megan Witte, and Tayler Alden who each tallied 11 kills. Alden recorded 15 points for UNI.
The Bulldogs hit the road to take on Loyola on Monday Nov. 1 at 5 p.m.
