ELKHORN, Neb. – The Drake University women's golf team withdrew Tuesday from the team portion of the Stampede at the Creek hosted by the University of Omaha at the Indian Creek Golf Course. Drake, which sat in fifth place in the team standings after the first day of the tournament, had its second student-athlete withdraw due to injury.
Aayushi Sarkar withdrew Tuesday after
Kelly Kavanagh pulled out Monday.
As individuals,
Kristen Giles finished tied for fifth at 226 while
Haeri Lee tied for 15
th on the individual leaderboard with a final score of 231.
Sam Paulak jumped into the top 20 with a final round 72 (+1) as she finished with a three-round total of 232, just one stroke behind Lee.
Gracie Tribolet finished tied for 32
nd at 249.
North Dakota State won the team portion with a final score of 899 while Michaela Vavrova of Nebraska won the individual title with a score of 217. Vavrova played as an individual.
Drake closes its fall season at the Coyote Classic hosted by Bradley University this Saturday and Sunday at Coyote Creek Golf Course in Bartonville, Ill.
