Following a historic performance in the 1,500 meters at the Drake Relays presented by Xtream powered by Mediacom, Drake University's Adam Fogg has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Fogg set the all-time Valley best in the event in 3:38.79, which also broke the Drake school record, which had stood for 40 years, by more than three seconds.
 
The All-American finished second in the race as he was nosed out at the finish line by just five one-hundreths of a second. Both he and the winner of the University Division race posted times faster than the invitational division one day later and both finished under the previous Drake Relays record.
 
His time leads the Valley and is now the 11th fastest run by a collegian this season.
