Track & Field To Host Jim Duncan Invitational

Bulldogs to compete at Drake Stadium Friday

The Drake University track and field teams are back in action at Drake Stadium, Friday, April 9 for the Jim Duncan Invitational.

Field events get started at 12:45 p.m. with running events starting at 1:45 p.m. Competing alongside Drake will be Iowa State, South Dakota State, Augustana, Creighton, Western Michigan and Omaha.

All tickets must be purchased online in advance. There will be no walk-up ticket sales the day of the event.

Tickets may be purchased at DrakeTix.com/jimduncan and will be delivered digitally via the Drake mobile ticketing app. Mask usage and social distancing are required the entire time guests are on the Drake University campus, including inside the Drake Stadium Seating Area.

In their last competition, the Bulldogs saw a school record and six all-time top-10 performances at the Blue Oval Invitational in Drake Stadium. Newcomer Adam Kessler highlighted the meet with his school record in the shot put, throwing 18.80m, which sits second overall in Missouri Valley Conference standings. Other notable performances included true freshman Brooke Mullins winning the women's 1500m in 4:41.10 and sophomore Isaac Basten winning the men's 1500m in 3:47.51, which currently leads the Missouri Valley Conference.
