Mai-Ly Tran has resigned her position as the Drake University women's tennis head coach to accept the same position at Colorado State, Tuesday, July 13.
 
Tran had served as the Bulldogs head coach since July 2016 and recently guided the Bulldogs to their third-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
 
That appearance was the Bulldogs' first since 2000 after the team finished 11-9 and ran through the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament with three-straight wins to earn a spot in the NCAA field.
 
Tran also guided the Bulldogs to the MVC regular season title in 2018 and the team garnered a total of 17 All-MVC honors during her tenure.
 
Assistant coach Kristina Lott has been named the Bulldogs' interim head coach and a national search will be conducted to identify the next head coach.
