Paradise Jam Recap
Drake is fresh off a Paradise Jam title in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tucker DeVries was named the Tournament MVP leading the Bulldogs to three wins over Buffalo, Wyoming and Tarleton State.

Drake held off Tarleton State for a 71-64 win in the Paradise Jam championship contest on Monday. Four Drake players scored in double figures (DeVries-22, Penn-14, Sturtz-13, Wilkins-11) while Sturtz recorded his first double-double of the season.

Tucker DeVries poured in a career-high 29 points as Drake held off Wyoming, 61-56 in the semifinal round of the Paradise Jam at the Sports and Fitness Center on Sunday. DeVries finished with 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field including a 4-of-6 clip beyond the arc. Sardaar Calhoun added nine points off the bench.

The Bulldogs clamped down to not allow a field goal in the final four minutes of the game and Roman Penn took control late in a comeback 80-72 victory over Buffalo in the quarterfinal round of the Paradise Jam at the Sports and Fitness Center on Friday (Nov. 18).

Literally Did Not Miss
DeVries was named MVC Player of the Week on Nov. 21 after averaging 21.7 points and 5.3 rebounds during a three-game span against Wofford, Buffalo and Wyoming.

Tucker DeVries could not miss in the championship game of the Paradise Jam on Monday (Nov. 21). After scoring a career-high 29 points the day before against Wyoming, DeVries finished 5-for-5 from the field including 4-for-4 from beyond the arc and 8-for-8 at the free throw line.

The performance marked only the second time in NCAA Division I this season that a player did not miss from the field, three-point range and the free throw line while scoring over 20 points. Previously accomplished by Creighton's Ryan Kalkbrenner versus Holy Cross on Nov. 14.

DeVries has been an incredibly efficient shooter so far this season (34-58 from the field in five games).

100
With Monday's Paradise Jam title game victory, Darian DeVries became the third coach in program history to earn 100 wins at Drake as he accomplished the feat in only 141 games.
