SAN ANTONIO – Haeri Lee remained in the top-10 and the Drake women's golf team finished its first tournament of the spring campaign tied for 14
th place at the Islander Classic held at Brackenridge Park Golf Course on Tuesday (Feb. 22). The second round resumed after it was halted due to darkness on Monday (Feb. 21) and ended before the final round began.
Lee turned in a team-low round of 71 (E) in round two before wrapping up the third round with a 77 for a total score of 220. Lee concluded the Islander Classic tied for eighth place.
After an 81 in the second round,
Kristen Giles rebounded to match her first round score of 78 as she closed out the tournament at 237.
Sam Paulak fired her lowest round of the tournament (80) in the final round to finish with a 3-round total of 245.
Abby Marting shot an 82 in the second round and 84 in the closing 18 holes for 249 while
Kelly Kavanagh (250) was right behind after a final round of 83.
Up next for Drake women's golf is the UTRGV Invitational at McAllen Country Club in McAllen, Texas, March 7-8.
