Softball Completes Final Day at John Cropp Classic

Bulldog fall to Kent State and No. 19 Michigan.

LEXINGTON, KY. – The Drake University softball team fell to Kent State and No. 19 Michigan on their final day of the John Cropp Classic hosted by Kentucky.
 
Kent State 11, Drake 0
The Bulldogs held the Golden Flashes scoreless for the first two innings, before they managed to score.
 
Kent State managed to score six runs as their catcher led the team with three RBI's.
 
The Bulldogs struggled to find momentum as they recorded one hit against Kent State and ended the game in five innings due to run rule. 
 
No. 19 Michigan 1, Drake 0
Drake held off the nationally ranked Wolverines for seven innings before they managed to score their lone run.
 
The Wolverines recorded eight hits in their eight innings.

The Bulldogs had five appear at bat three times, but were unable to record a hit against the Wolverines.
 
The Bulldogs head south to the Bevo Classic presented by Texas starting on March 11.
