ST. LOUIS, Missouri -- Drake University women's tennis team member, Liza Petushkova, earned Missouri Valley Conference Singles Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday March 9. 

The senior from Moscow, Russia earned the honor recording her third straight win in singles play over the weekend. 

She swept Northern Iowa's Darta Dalecka in set one, 6-0, and topped her in set two, 7-5. 

Petushkova also defeated Milwaukee's Greta Carbone in three sets. She won set one 6-2 over Carbone, as she went on a three point rally. Petushkova fell in set two 6-1, but came out on top in set three to win the overall match.

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday March 12, as they host Wisconsin at 5pm.
