NORMAL, Ill. – Four Bulldogs finished in the top-10 for the Drake women's golf team at the Redbird Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 9 at Weibring Golf Club (Par 72, 6034 yards). The Bulldogs (295-300-596) finished in a tie for first place with host Illinois State, but the Redbirds won the team title via tiebreaker.
The Redbird Spring Invitational was reduced from 54 holes to 36 holes after the round scheduled for Friday, April 8 was canceled due to weather conditions in central Illinois.
Sam Paulak took second place overall (72-74-146) with a team-low first round score of 72.
Haeri Lee (74-75-149) finished tied for sixth and knocked in a tournament-best nine birdies.
Kristen Giles (75-75-150) tied with teammate
Aayushi Sarkar (74-76-150) for eighth place as they both converted four birdies.
Abby Marting (78-78-156) rounded out the Drake lineup in a tie for 23
rd.
Gracie Tribolet (80-80-160) competed as an individual.
