CHICAGO, Illinois -- The Drake University softball team won its final game with Loyola Sunday, after falling in the first two. The two teams were able to get through game one on Saturday and through part of game two before being delayed due to weather.

Game two started on Saturday and made it five innings before being delayed due to weather in the Chicago area. The game was tied 6-6 before being delayed until Sunday.
Emily Valtman recorded her 10th home run of the season in the top of the third to put Drake up 2-1.
Drake held the lead until the bottom of the third when Teagan Sopczak singled to right center field and brought two across home plate to out the Ramblers up 5-4.
Libby Ryan tied the game, 6-6, in the top of the fifth after she singled up the middle and brought

Macy Johnson across home.
After going into an eighth inning, the Ramblers came out on top after Haley Wallace crossed home.
Drake 2, Loyola 1
Drake took an early lead in the top of the third when
Addie Lightner slammed a ball over the fence to record her third home run of the season.
In the bottom of the fifth, the Ramblers had Sopczak score to tie the game 1-1.
In the top of the seventh,
Delaney Taylor reached first on a fielders choice and then advanced to second on an error by the Ramblers third baseman. Johnson scored to out Drake up 2-1 and
MaKayla Rice then found herself out at third oon an unassisted play.
Paige Bedsworth recorded her 12th start in the circle and tallied six strikeouts, falling short of tying her season high of seven. She tallied her seventh win after holding off the Ramblers in game three.
The Bulldogs return home to host Iowa State on Tuesday and Missouri State on Saturday and Sunday.
