The Basics
Drake women's golf is set to begin at the 2022 fall campaign at the Redbird Invitational in Normal, Ill., hosted at D.A. Weibring Golf Course (Par 72, 6,022 yards). Sunday will consist of 36 holes with an 8 a.m. shotgun short followed by the final 18 holes on Monday getting underway at 8:30 a.m.

After earning medalist honors at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships this past spring,
Kristen Giles was invited to the 20022 NCAA Women's Golf Division I Regional in Stillwater, Okla, back in May.
Interim Tag Removed
Drake University Director of Athletics
Brian Hardin announced the elevation of
Steve Smith to head coach of the Drake women's golf program on Tuesday (May 24). Smith was appointed interim head coach on Feb. 18 with 33 years of coaching experience at his disposal.
Under Smith's leadership in 2022, the Bulldogs recorded their best finish (third place) at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships since 2010.
Kristen Giles became just the second Bulldog women's golfer to win the MVC Championship and represented Drake and the MVC as an individual at the 2022 NCAA Division I Stillwater Regional. In the season's final tune-up prior to the MVC Championship, the Bulldogs tied for first at the Redbird Spring Invitational on April 9.

Eastern Kentucky, Illinois State, Northern Illinois, IUPUI, Bradley, Butler, Drake, Loyola, Bowling Green, Indiana State, Ball State, Evansville, Northern Iowa, Valparaiso and Southern Indiana.
