ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake's
Brennan Rzewuski was named to the 2023 MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team, the league announced this morning. Rzewuski was also selected as the Bulldogs' men's scholar-athlete spotlight earlier this fall.
The Lombard, Ill. native started eight games and played in 13 for the Bulldogs this season. He has served a key role in the Drake defense over the last two seasons and scored three total points this year with a goal vs. Bradley (10/18) and an assist in a draw with Omaha (9/13). Rzewuski attempted four total shots from his defender position with one on goal and helped orchestrate a 1-0 shutout of Western Illinois in Drake's home opener (9/01).
Western Michigan's Dylan Sing was named MVC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The entirety of the MVC Scholar-Athlete teams are listed below.
