SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Play was suspended at 7:45 p.m. (darkness) while the Drake men's golf team got through 16 holes of the second round of the Missouri State Intercollegiate at Millwood Golf Club on Monday, March 20. The second round will resume at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21.
 
The Bulldogs shot a team score of 301 in the first round led by Lucas Scherf's 70 (-1). Jack Dumas turned in a 75 (+4) for his opening round.
 
Nate Spear (78, +7) made his spring debut while Silvester Tan also turned in a 78. Nikko Ganas rounded out Drake's lineup in the first round.
 
Wichita State (286) settled into first on the team leaderboard following the first 18 holes.
