BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- Kristen Giles' first round score of 73 highlighted Drake women's golf's first day at the ORU Spring Invite at The Club on Indiana Springs (par 72) Monday, April 10.  

Giles (73-78--151) is tied for 18th overall after 36 holes with 24 of those marked down as pars. Amber Henson (79-79--158) led Drake in birdies on day one with six.

Aayushi Sarkar (81-80--161) and Kelly Kavanagh (79-82--161) remained consistent during the day. Rylee Heryford (82-81--163) rounded out the Drake lineup while Abby Marting (82-84--166) competed as an individual.

The final 18-hole round is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, April 11.
