NORMAL, Ill. – The Missouri Valley Conference announced the 2023 All-Conference Women's Tennis awards this evening. The No. 2 seed Bulldogs were represented by a terrific twosome.
Junior
Ines Stephani was honored as the 2023 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year. She is currently 28-11 overall and 7-1 in MVC singles play. Stephani is a two-time MVC Player of the Week award recipient with one such honor coming earlier this season. Both Stephani and Parkins-Godwin teamed up as the Bulldogs' steady No. 2 doubles squad this season. The deadly duo has played to a 14-5 overall record and 6-1 record in conference play.
MVC regular season champion Illinois State produced both the Freshman of the Year in Nevena Kolarevic and the Coach of the Year, Maja Kovacek. UIC's Natalia Nikolopoulou was awarded as the Newcomer of the Year.
