The Drake track & field programs will be in Normal, Ill., at the Redbird Track & Field Complex for the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships May 12-14. Each day will feature a live broadcast on ESPN+.

DRAKE MEN'S TRACK & FIELD NOTES

• Isaac Basten owns the fastest 1,500 time in MVC men's outdoor track & field history (3:36.99 at the Bryan Clay Invitational on April 15).
• Anthony Barmes holds the top weight throw (231-4 at the Jim Duncan Invitational on April 14) in MVC men's outdoor track & field history.
• Ethan Marshall recorded his weight throw PR of 209-7 at the Jim Duncan Invitational on April 14. 
• Adam Phillips has been consistently impressive in three throwing events (shot put, hammer throw and discus).

 
DRAKE WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD NOTES

• Brooke Mullins broke the Drake women's 3000m steeplechase record with an MVC leading time of 10:13.94 on Thursday, April 27 at the 113^th Drake Relays to become the first Drake women's athlete to win a Drake Relays event since Gina DeWitt in 1995. 
• Chandler Haight bested her own record in the women's shot put (51-2.5 at the Jim Duncan Invitational on April 14).
• Centaine Noom-Duckworth recently set her PR with a toss of 187-8  in the women's hammer throw at the Iowa State Alumni Invitational on May 6.
• Emilie Meyer moved into fourth all-time in the Drake women's track & field record book with an 800m time of 2:08.66 for a third place finish at the 2023 Drake Relays.
• Busiwa Asinga is the reigning MVC Outdoor women's 400m hurdles champion.
• Savannah Ming set personal records in both the 100m (12.13) and 200m (24.90) at the Iowa State Alumni Invitational on May 6.
