AUSTIN, Texas – Anthony Barmes of Drake track & field garnered Second Team All-American status in the men's hammer throw while Isaac Basten advanced to another men's 1500m final at the NCAA Division I Track & Field Outdoor Championships at Mike A. Myers Stadium on Wednesday, June 7.
 
Barmes' farthest throw of the day (69.67m/228-7) led flight one as it ranked 12^th after both flights concluded for a spot on the NCAA Division I All-American Second Team. Barmes was an NCAA All-American Honorable Mention last season.
 
Basten had a late charge in the final 50m to finish fourth in the second heat of the 1500m semifinal with a time of 3:39.72 to move on to Friday night's final at 8:12 p.m.
