COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Drake women's golf team finished the second round of the Johnie Imes Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at the Old Hawthorne (Par 72 | 6,264 yards). Following two rounds, Drake (298-297--595) is tied for eighth out of 13 teams.
Aayushi Sarker (73-71--144, E) jumped five spots on day two into a tie for 13th place on the leaderboard.
Amber Henson (71-77-148, +4) is still in the Top-30, tied for 28th place.
Mizzou transfer
Julie Huggins (77-72--149, +5) played very well in the second round on a course she is familiar with. Fellow newcomer and Arizona native
Kate Connolly (77-77--154, +10) turned in another 77
Rylee Heryford (78-78--156, +12) also matched her opening round score.
Erika Holmberg (79-72--151, +7) saw a big improvement on day two competing as an individual.
Lipscomb (286-281--567) moved into the lead in the team standings with one more round to go.
The final round begins with tee times at 8 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 27).
