DES MOINES, Iowa – Drake men's tennis head coach Ben Lott announced the additions of Ben Johnson and Aaron Dawson to the program on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
 
Johnson hails from Exeter, Devon, U.K., and will join Drake after a career at Exmouth Community College where he was a three-time Player of the Year recipient. He qualified for the Premier League finals twice and was named Devon County Player of the Year on two occasions.
 
Dawson, a native of Basingstoke, Hampshire, U.K., was in the No. 1 position for Bath University in singles and doubles. He competed in the National team finals and finished second in the country. Dawson was part of a due that claimed two ITF doubles titles in back-to-back weeks. In singles, he gained a Top 25 under-18 national ranking.
 
The Drake men's tennis team will begin its spring schedule at home on Jan. 20.
