The Basics
Bulldog women's tennis will host a weekend match on Friday, Mar. 29, at 4 p.m., against the UNI Panthers at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.
Bulldogs by the Numbers
Drake is at 2-4 in the month of March and 5-9 overall this season. The Bulldogs are coming off a split weekend with a win over Valparaiso (3/23) and loss at UIC (3/24) to start their MVC slate. Drake currently owns a 2-1 home record with wins over Milwaukee and Omaha early in non-conference action.
Ines Stephani, the Bulldogs' top player, is starting to get into form after a solid weekend in The Region. She pulled out a pair of three-set victories in singles play and teamed up with
Mille Haagensen to go 1-1 in doubles action. Haagensen also picked up two singles victories against Valpo and UIC.
Scouting the UNI Panthers
The Panthers are currently riding a two-match losing streak heading into this weekend's match in Des Moines. UNI is 3-9 overall on the season with a 1-6 record away from home. UNI's two most recent defeats include negative results against Missouri State, their only MVC contest so far, and a match against St. Thomas in the Twin Cities. Both matches came on the road.
The meeting between Drake and UNI be the final installment in a six-match road stretch for the Panthers.
Drake leads the all-time series with UNI by a 16-4 margin. The Bulldogs have won five straight and 13 of the last 14 meetings with the Panthers. UNI will be seeking its first victory in Des Moines since 2010.

The Bulldogs will continue conference play with their final road trip of the 2024 regular season. Drake is set to visit Missouri State on Apr. 6 and Murray State on Apr. 7.
