ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Drake women's tennis was slated eighth in the 2025 MVC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll, the league announced this afternoon.

The reigning MVC Tournament Champions Murray State have been tabbed as the favorites of 2025 Preseason Poll with 78 total points and six first-place votes. UIC closely followed behind with 72 points and two first-place votes. Illinois State rounds out the top three with 65 points and one first-place vote. In fourth, Valparaiso received 49 points, Belmont received 41 points for fifth, Missouri State received 35 points for sixth, and Bradley received 31 points for seventh. Finishing out the poll, Drake and UNI received 22 and 12 points for eight and ninth place.

Under first-year head coach Calvin Song, the Bulldogs will start their 2025 campaign with a road match at Kansas State on Jan. 25.
