ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Jalen Quinn of Drake men's basketball has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the week, the league announced on Monday afternoon.

The senior had a spectacular showing at the Emerald Coast Classic where he averaged 25.5 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in Drake's two contests. Quinn led the offensive attack for the Bulldogs first scoring 20 points against LSU and following with a career-high 31 points in a victory over Georgia Tech. He also added a career best seven assists against the Yellow Jackets. The Tuscola, Illinois native was efficient from the floor shooting 58.6-percent (17-29) and the charity (15-16, .938).

Quinn and the Bulldogs will take to the court tomorrow for their next contest against Western Illinois. Tipoff from the Knapp Center is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT with the game available to stream on ESPN+.
