Mitch Mascari have been recognized for their hard work in the classroom and on the hardwood. Mascari was named to the 2024-25 Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete First Team, while Manyawu was named to the Second Team, the league announced Monday afternoon.
One of the top sharp shooters in the country, Mascari averages 10.4 points per game for the Bulldogs to go along with 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals. The Geneva, Illinois native has drained 84 three-pointers on the season, which ranks seventh on Drake's single-season three-point basket made list. In national ranks, he is 14th in three-point percentage at .429 (84-for-129). Mascari had a 3.98 GPA majoring in finance for his undergrad studies and owns 3.80 GPA in accounting as a graduate student.
Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri, Manyawu leads the Bulldogs in rebounding with 5.4 boards per game to go along with 7.1 points. He also leads Drake with 21 blocks on the year and ranks second on the squad in steals with 40. In the classroom, Manyawu has a GPA of 3.86 double majoring in finance and sociology.

The Bulldogs return to the court on Friday, March 7 at noon CT in the quarterfinals of the State Farm MVC Tournament. Drake will play the winner of 8-seed Southern Illinois and 9-seed Indiana State.
