Pennsauken Township, N.J. — The Bulldogs wrapped up their 2025 campaign in the MAAC Championship yesterday. The team finished in ninth place with 11 points in the competition.
"We rowed the fastest times of the year, and both varsity eights competed hard, but we were up against better competition," Head Coach
Charlie DiSilvestro said. "I couldn't be more proud of their training, how hard they rowed, and the wins they had, but it's always hard when you don't hit the goal you set out to hit."
The race began with heats in the morning. Drake's first varsity four finished in fourth place with a 10:07.520 time, the second varsity eight finished in fourth place with a 07:32.756 time and the first varsity eight finished in fourth place with a 07:10.077 time.
After a break, boats hit the water again for the final races in the afternoon. The first varsity four finished in second place between Robert Morris and Iona with a 09:52.891 time, the second varsity eight won the petit final against Iona and Robert Morris with a 07:35.258 mark and the first varsity eight finished ninth with a 07:09.463 time.
After the racing, the MAAC released the all-conference teams. Drake senior
Jessica Seelinger was named to the 2025 All-MAAC Second Team.
