Smith Collects 2025 Fall State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award

Senior one of 11 honorees for achievements in the classroom and in the community

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner Jeff Jackson announced the recipients for the 2025 Fall State Farm MVC Good Neighbor Award.
 
Grace Smith of Drake women's soccer was one of 11 student-athletes recognized with the honor. The award highlights and honors the achievements of exceptional student-athletes.
 
The local product playing for her hometown team, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology and is a Master of Science in Counseling Candidate. A multiple time member of President's Lists and Dean's Lists, Smith has displayed her prowess not only in the classroom but in the community as well.
 
Smith has been involved with numerous community service groups and opportunities including assisting children with disabilities in baseball at Miracle League with the Iowa Cubs, supporting the Hubbell Elementary After School Care Program, planning the Drake SAAC Mental Health Awareness Week for the student-athletes along with organizing the Drake women's soccer mental health awareness game, and serving as the keynote speaker for the Drake Counseling × NAMI Annual Suicide Awareness Walk.
 
She wrapped up her collegiate career this fall making 14 appearances with seven starts in her time at Drake.
