FRISCO, Texas —The Drake women's golf team was honored as one of the top-25 programs for team GPA by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, the organization announced on Thursday afternoon.
The Bulldogs finished the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.83, which tied for the 25th best grade point average among all teams at the Division I level. Drake was tied with the University of Dayton in the rankings.
A couple of weeks ago, Drake had four members of the women's golf team named to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team:
Rylee Heryford,
Erika Holmberg,
Julie Huggins, and
Alexis Reyes.
Houston Chrisitan University was recognized as the program with the highest collective average team GPA at 3.947 in Division I. The list of the top-25 teams can be found below.
