NORMAN, Okla. — Jake Weissenburger of Drake men's golf has been honored as a 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-American Scholar for NCAA Division, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced on Monday afternoon.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

This past season Weissenburger compiled a scoring average of 73.91 and competed in all 11 events for the Bulldogs. The Clive, Iowa native recorded four top-20 finishes, including a top-10 result at the Zach Johnson Invitational, and finished 14th at the MVC Championship with a total score of 215, which was his 54-hole low. He owns a cumulative GPA of 3.39 and is majoring in Business Studies.
