AMES, IOWA -- Drake sophomore Michelle Mitchell (Brookfield, Wis.) tied for 15th in the nonseeded women's high jump at 5-3.25 at the Iowa State Classic Friday.

Junior Tara Scieszinski (Albia, Iowa) was 24th in the nonseeded women's 5,000-meter run being timed in 18:25.51. Sophomore Meredith Bell (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) was 34th in 10:37.84, while sophomore Lindsay Smith (Lakeville, Minn.) was 42nd in 10:48.38.

Sophomore Joanna Sprang (New Brighton, Minn.) was 12th in the nonseeded women's pole vault at 11-1.75, while freshman Molly Scott (Kansas City, Mo.) tied for 22nd at 10-8.
