EVANSVILLE, IND. - The Drake women's tennis team was unable to overcome an early deficit as Evansville rolled to a 6-1 triumph over the Bulldogs in Missouri Valley Conference action on Saturday (April 10).

The Purple Aces gained the early advantage in the affair registering victories at the bottom two doubles slots to secure the doubles point.

Evansville carried the momentum into singles action taking five of the six affairs to record the win.

Drake's lone triumph came at the No. 3 position where sophomore Jessica Aguilera (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) downed Ashton Schwerin, 6-4, 6-3.

The Bulldogs concludes their weekend road swing at Southern Illinois on Sunday (April 11).  Match time is slated for 10:00 a.m.
