OMAHA, NEB. -
The Drake University softball team dropped a 6-3 Missouri Valley
Conference decision
to Creighton, Tuesday. The Bulldogs scored three runs in the second
inning, but
couldn't hold the lead.
Pitcher Brynne Dordel (Chanhassen, Minn.) allowed two
runs in the first inning to fall behind, 2-0, early. But the Drake

The Jays tied the game in the third and took a 6-3 lead
in the fifth on two walks and two hit batsmen.
The Bulldogs loaded the bases in the sixth, but couldn't
plate a run. Oltman closed the door on Drake in the seventh for her 25th
win of
the season.
Dordel threw six innings and allowed six earned runs on six
hits while striking out nine to earn the loss. Her record stands at 15-6
overall.
Senior Bridget Shields (Iowa City, Iowa) and sophomore Torey
Craddock (Tucson, Ariz.) tallied two hits and a run scored each.
